The Associated Artists of Middle Eastern Dance journey began in 1999, traveling many twists and turns while evolving into its present state as ASAmed Inc., a nonprofit corporation. ASAmed Inc. publishes a quarterly periodical providing high quality informative
articles on the history of Middle Eastern Dance and related cultural aspects,
coverage of the contemporary interests of Middle Eastern dancers and
engaging articles by members of the Middle Eastern Dance community.

Because of ASAmed's status as a cultural education organization BENNU is
considered a teaching tool and the ASAmed membership its classroom.
BENNU is not a retail publication and therefore only available through annual
membership and not sold by single issue with the exception of back issues.
ASAmed sponsors two Showcases annually with special guest artist appearances and to date has provided performance opportunities for over 150 dancers.
ASAmed sponsered workshops and classes make available to the community quality dance instruction in a workshop format by noted master teachers in Middle Eastern Dance and allied techniques.
